Warranty Information

All watches are covered by The Time Tin 2-Year Warranty.

Your watch is warranted by The Time Tin for a period of 2 years from the date of delivery.

During the warranty period, the watch movement, hands and dial are the only components covered under this warranty. A covered component will be repaired or the watch will be replaced free of charge if it proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use.

In case of replacement, The Time Tin cannot guarantee that you will receive the same model watch. If your model is not available, a watch of equal value or similar style will be provided. The warranty for the replacement watch will end on the same date as your original warranty.

What is not covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Crystal, bezel, strap/bracelet, crowns, batteries or decorative trims (including diamanté elements).
  • Damage resulting from improper handling, lack of care, accidents or normal wear and tear.
  • Water damage where the watch has been used beyond its rated water resistance or contrary to our care recommendations.

Watches that are rated 5 ATM or below are not considered fully waterproof; they are suitable for everyday splashes only. We do not recommend wearing your watch while showering or swimming, as the pressure exerted on the watch under these conditions can exceed 5 ATM. For swimming, The Time Tin advises that you only do so with watches rated 10 ATM or above. We are unable to cover water damage caused by use beyond these recommendations, except where we are required to do so by law.

The Time Tin will not be responsible for damage caused to straps, links, cases or seals by third parties (for example, during resizing or repair by someone other than us or our authorised repair centre). Ceramic watches, due to their brittle nature, are delicate and must be treated with care while extracting links. If breakage occurs while links are being removed by a third party, the cost of any replacement parts or repairs will be the responsibility of the customer or the third party. If The Time Tin damages the watch during work carried out by us, the cost of repair will be our responsibility.

Service and repair outside warranty

For service work that is not covered under this warranty, our service centre may perform the services you request for a charge. The charge depends on the watch style and the type of work requested. These charges are subject to change, and you will be notified of and must agree to all charges before any work is carried out.

Watches sent for repair that are not covered under warranty will incur postage and packaging charges both to and from The Time Tin.

Warranty repair times

We aim to complete all warranty work within 2-8 weeks and will keep you informed throughout the process. Once the item is received back, an assessment is carried out within 7 days. All warranty work is completed by our authorised repair centre. All work carried out is checked, tested and guaranteed.

If your watch develops a fault

If your watch develops a fault or stops working:

  • Within 30 days of delivery:
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have a short-term right to reject faulty goods. If your watch is faulty, you can request a full refund or a replacement, in addition to any rights you have under this warranty.
  • After 30 days and within 2 years of delivery:
Your watch will be covered under The Time Tin 2-Year Warranty. We will normally arrange a repair in the first instance. If a repair is not possible or is unsuccessful, we will offer a replacement or refund in line with your statutory rights.
